Drug Testing: NEW!

Every athlete who enters this show will be drug tested. There is no additional charge for testing. The testing process for this event may be inconvenient but well worth the extra effort to provide the same testing experience for each athlete. By entering this event, each athlete agrees to schedule and take a 30 minute polygraph test prior to the competition at either the Colorado Springs or Denver testing locations to be announced. Each athlete will be sent a Calendly scheduling link to set the testing appointment. Athletes traveling the greatest distances need to get entries in early to be able to schedule testing times closest to the show date.
Each athlete agrees to abide by the professional polygraph results and no refunds will be given for a positive test result.

The following substances are prohibited for the listed time frame before entering an NPC/IFBB PRO natural contest:

TUE FORMS

TUE form will only be considered by the NPC under the following circumstances:

1. The athlete would experience a significant impairment to health if the prohibited substance were withheld while treating an acute or chronic medical condition.
2. The use of the prohibited substance would produce no additional enhancement of performance other than that which might be anticipated by a return state to normal health following the treatment of a legitimate medical condition.
3. There are no reasonable therapeutic alternatives or other alternatives are ineffective.  NOTE: hormone replacement therapy (HRT), for example supplementing with prescribed testosterone in any form to raise testosterone levels due to natural decreases that occur with aging (even if to just elevate levels to within ‘normal’ ranges), is NOT considered a medicinal exception.

4. TUEs granted by the NPC are valid for the duration of the treatment as prescribed by the physician up to a maximum of four years. It is the athlete’s responsibility to know when the TUE expires and to apply for renewal before this date if necessary.

Novice Rules:

Eligible to compete in novice division if a competitor has not placed Top 10 at a National Show, if a competitor has not won an Overall (this includes Novice, Masters, or Open Overalls), and if a competitor has not won an Open Class with 3 or more competitors in the class. (Novice okay to enter if won First Time Ever Novice True Novice). True Novice is the name of the division for First Time Ever competitors.

Masters Rules:  

Must have reached the age of the class entered by the date of the show. Masters entrants may also enter age categories under their age. Must show proof of age.

Music for BB/WP/MCP:

Posing Music for Bodybuilding/Women’s Physique/Men’s Classic Physique Routines:  Contestants can upload 60 sec. posing music at the entry link. (Look for the tab at the top.) Don’t worry if you are unable to upload your 60sec. posing music, please bring to Check-In on a flash drive.

Suits: 

We do not check Bikini and Wellness suit bottoms at CheckIn. Suit bottoms must fit in good taste. If you have a question relative to whether your suit is appropriate please bring a second suit. Inappropriate suits will NOT be permitted onstage.
Bodybuilders, Classic Physique competitors & Women’s Physique competitors must weigh in wearing posing suit, no exceptions.

Awards:

1^st-5^th place receive custom NPC Mountain West Naturals medal. Overall champions of each Open and Novice division will receive overall award.

Entry Fees:

$165 for the first class, $110 for any additional classes if paid online by Sept. 10th, 2024. No entries will be accepted after Tuesday Sept. 10th at Noon MDT due to the testing protocol required for entry. Go to Online Entry Link to Enter & Pay. Limited number of passes for $100.  Must be an NPC member, (Purchase NPC Card here).  Please be advised: A Backstage Pass does not allow trainers to impede flow of the event backstage.  Trainers must cooperate with event expeditors or Backstage Pass will be revoked.
